Invacare Corp has reached an agreement with Bonafide Management Systems Inc, a provider of business management software for the HME industry, to market and sell the Bonafide software system. According to terms of the deal released via BusinessWire press release, Invacare will leverage its sales and marketing resources to help customers enhance profitability using the Bonafide system. “Our goal is to offer solutions that help the HME provider reduce operating costs,” said David Kazan, vice president of sales and marketing—service business group for Elyria, Ohio-based Invacare. “The challenges associated with competitive bidding and reimbursement pressures make it critical for providers to drive down costs within their operation. Leveraging the most advanced business management tools is key,”
Bonafide bills and files claims electronically with Medicare and other payors, and also offers inventory control and customer management, all in a paperless, integrated package. The 100% web-based system provides data security without additional hardware, software, or upgrades. Privacy is strictly enforced so that data is visible only to the HME provider who owns it. “This system is designed to make it easy for HMEs to see which products, referral sources, and sales people are driving profitability,” said Wayne Bailey, Bonafide director of marketing and sales from the the company’s Thousand Oaks, Calif, headquarters. “This makes it easier for providers to accurately price for competitive bidding. Furthermore, it’s designed to work with a wide range of suppliers so that HMEs can order from any manufacturer they like.”
